Happy 1st Anniversary, Sam!

One year ago today, I married the best man for me. It has been an indescribable year of true happiness, memories, and fun! We’ve cooked together, traveled to two countries and many cities, gone to funky art museums, made Peter & Cletus videos, celebrated friends’ weddings, saw family, watched the VCU Rams dominate in basketball, removed the “bachelor” aspects from our pad, survived three semesters of school (for Lee) and a crazy travel season for Sam’s job, over-ate at Thanksgiving and most recently, Christmas and now, we’re back to New Year’s Eve, celebrating this wonderful year!
I am so pleased not only to be spending my favorite holiday/and now anniversary with Sam, but also to be getting sealed together in our church’s DC temple for time and all eternity. In the Mormon faith, when you are married in the temple, we believe that it is eternal. Last year, we were married civilly at the Waters’ residence, by Sam’s father. This year we get the chance to do it all over again, and this time, it’s forever.
Here are some highlights from 2011:
